Going Home Celebration For Doctor Rev. Willie Stovall.
Yesterday I attended a dear family members going home Celebration. It was very large. He had many children, grandchildren, great-grand children.
I have known them since my son was 4 years old. And yes, my son considered this man his father.
Many trials and tribulations have him and his wife both faced. But God was there every step of the way.
His wife of 50 years had a asthma attack. She ended up on a ventilator in a coma. Doctors said She was not gonna make it. “Pull the plug”. He got down on his knees right there in the hospital by her bed and prayed. 4 days later. She woke up out of her coma. And was able to testify of the healing powers of Jesus.
A few years before that this same Rev. Was driving to Memphis, TN. They had a terrible car accident. Broke his hip bones and had a very serious head injury. Glass was lodged in his brain. Doctors told his wife and kids: “He not gonna make it” “He not leaving this hospital alive with his injuries that he has sustained.”
That wife got down on her knees and prayed for her husband. A few weeks later. He was up and walking. With the help of a walker. They brought him home where he continued to improve. A few months later he was back in the pulpit. And driving like he never had an accident. See? The power of Dr. Jesus!
