The True Sabbath

THE TRUE SABBATH

This is a powerful and very important message about the Sabbath of God.  This is a subject that almost no one has the truth of.  Being carnal/natural minded has caused the world to think that the Seventh Day was Saturday.  But this message will solidly prove that this is false.

The Word of God is so far above our little human life and the things in this present world that it takes a special anointing from God to open up its spiritual truth.   It takes having a fervent desire and thirst for this knowledge.  It takes diligently seeking for it;  studying the Word of God and comparing Scripture with Scripture to find the real, deep truth.  God said he will reward those who diligently seek him.  You will not receive this glorious truth without first hungering and thirsting for it.

You must be able to prove every word that you say is God’s truth with His Written Scripture and by that I mean the King James Scripture.  This is the pure translation in English.  What you say is true interpretation MUST BE WRITTEN in the Word, exactly as you state it.  Else there is no proof and no truth. 

Sabbath means Rest.  It is much more than just not working on any certain day of the week.  That is not the Rest that God is speaking about.  That is only a type and shadow.

There is a very large group of deceived people who say that this means to run to their church on Saturday.  But no Scripture says this.  In fact the truth of how to keep the OT Sabbath is much different.  Moses told them they could not even go out of their door on that law sabbath.  They could be stoned to death by disobeying this.  Even picking up a stick on that day could get one killed.  They were forbidden to start a fire and many other such things.  This adventist group does none of this.  They have no idea how to observe that day.  If they really had to, they would hate it and want no part of it.  They totally set aside the way that God said to keep this day and brought up their own way, which completely breaks that way that Moses said to do it.  So with this in mind let’s prove with written Scripture what the true Sabbath is.  That OT law sabbath was NOT A DAY OF WORSHIP.  It was a day where the people were forbidden to do any manner of work.  This was because the OT things were merely a type and shadow of the true things.  So this,  not working,  was to show what the real Seventh Day Rest or Sabbath is.

Then there is another deceived group of people who actually think that Sunday is that sabbath and that they must run to their church on Sunday.  They think this is keeping the sabbath day holy.  Nothing could be further from the truth. The adventist claim that running to church on Sunday is the mark of the beast.  Nothing of this sort is written in any Scripture, proving that neither group is going by the Word of God. 

But let’s see what God says that Seventh Day of rest really is.

Genesis 2:  2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

² And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

³ And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Notice that the above is ALL THAT IS SPOKEN ABOUT THAT SEVENTH DAY.  No evening and morning.  No more days. That is the end.  There was no more working after that day.  The entire host of both earth and heaven had been finished. No more working.  The Seventh Day is an eternal day which will never end. Carnal minded people have told me that God [ I suppose was tired] therefore he ‘rested’ on Saturday and began working again on Sunday. 

No way!  There was no more working;  no evening or morning.  Jesus said, when he was on earth,  I work and my Father worketh heretofore.  See?  Their work was not finished.  They were not resting yet.  So that Seventh Day has NOT COME AT THAT TIME.  When Jesus died on that cross he cried out, ‘It is finished’.  

The big mistake leading people into these kinds of errors is that they think that the days in Genesis one are our 24 hour days.  IT is not about that at all.  They think that Genesis one is about God creating the universe.  Again No.  That is not what it is about.  Genesis one and all the rest of the word of God is about JESUS CHRIST AND HIS KINGDOM. 

The Word says that Jesus is the beginning.  It is not the beginning of eternity for that had no beginning.  So, in Jesus was the Word.  IN Jesus God created the heaven and the earth.  The earth was without form and void.  Now think.  Did God create an earth that had no form?  Are they telling us that God could not do it right to begin with?  No.  This is about the crucifixion of Jesus as shown in Isaiah 52 and 53.  The earth was his human body.

So now let’s see if those who were thinking that they were keeping that sabbath day holy were given the Rest?

Hebrews 4:  4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

² For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

³ For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

⁴ For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

⁵ And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

⁶ Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

⁷ Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

⁸ For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

⁹ There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

¹⁰ For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

¹¹ Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

¹² For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

¹⁵ For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

³ For we which have believed do enter into rest,    [So here it shows that BELIEVING brought them into REST.  Jesus said, ‘come unto me and I will give you rest’.  So it was not of works;  it was a gift from Jesus.   Jesus said if you believe you will do the same works that I do and more.  So do you believe?  You must prove it.  Do you do the same works that Jesus did?  Do you even believe it is possible today?  Do you pray for and heal the sick?   If you do not believe how say he that you are in his rest?

⁷ Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

⁸ For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.    [ The ‘sunday’ folks think that this means he changed from Saturday to Sunday.  Neither is the day of Rest or any sabbath.  The other day is the Day of grace of true Salvation according to the Book of Acts;  the only Book that tells the complete plan of receiving this Rest].

IF Jesus had given them rest…. Who?  Those who thought their own works of running to their church was keeping a sabbath;  those who thought their own works was keeping the sabbath.  But no.  they did not enter into his rest. 

If Jesus had given them rest then he would not have spoken of another day.   So that OT sabbath was not their rest.  They did not enter into His Rest.  He did not give them rest so they went on in their self-made doings. 

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.   [ So, see, it is not our works that gives us rest or sabbath.  It is that throne of Grace.  Not your running to your churches or your other stuff that you think is keeping that sabbath.  It is pure faith in Jesus Christ…  BUT… that is not all there is to it.  So let’s get a fuller understanding of how to receive this GIVEN REST.]

Isaiah 28:  ⁷ But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

⁸ For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

⁹ Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

¹⁰ For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

¹¹ For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

¹² To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.     

 [ Now focus on this;  this is the REST!  This is the refreshing!   This what?  The stammering lips and another tongue which came by the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost!   There are no other stammering lips mentioned in the Word of God; no other speaking another tongue;  and this is not another earthly language;  it is the unknown tongue that Paul told about in 1Corinthians.   He said no man understands this tongue.  It is something given by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. 

¹³ But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.      [ Paul said the ones who go back to law fall from Grace.  That is what this is about…  going back to law thinking that the grace of Jesus is not enough… Refusing the Baptism of the Holy Ghost…. You go and fall back to condemnation. ]

Verse 8:  all tables are full of VOMIT and filthiness!  So what tables is he speaking of?  It is all of those churches that teach anything except the pure word of God!  The dogs return to their vomit.  It is those who bring up man-made doctrine and deny the truth of God.  IT is those who say that running to some church on a certain day is keeping the sabbath.  That is total BLASPHEMY.  Jesus is the only one who can give us this REST.   Only those who break with all of these churches, teaching their lies, and come to God by the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, exactly as came on the Day of Pentecost will ever be truly keeping that Holy Sabbath;  it is the rest that is GIVEN TO US BY JESUS.  It is something we have each and every day; not just certain days.  IT is forever.  We are to worship God each and every day.   To do otherwise is blasphemy.  To say that your running to some church is going to save you;  give you the Rest of God, is blasphemy. 

So, in changing the word of God and bringing up a man-made doctrine of running to a church on a certain day is keeping the sabbath has caused millions to totally miss the real Sabbath Rest which is receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, receiving the remission of sins by the water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins according to the Book of Acts.  Thus they are deprived of salvation, depending on lies and their own works to try to save them.  They do by this reject the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our salvation.   They change their glory for a filthy rag.   These people do reject the word of God and totally deny the true Rest that Jesus gives to those who obey His Word.
